Correction and Retraction
The International Journal of Environment, Engineering and Education (IJEEDU) is committed to maintaining an accurate and trustworthy scholarly record. Concerns about a published article may be submitted by authors, readers, reviewers, institutions, or other parties through the journal’s. Reports should identify the article and explain the concern, with supporting evidence where available.
The editors assess each concern on its merits, seek relevant explanations and documentation, and give the affected authors an opportunity to respond. When appropriate, the journal may consult independent experts, the publisher, or the authors’ institutions. An editorial decision about the status of an article is based on the reliability of the published record; a finding of intentional misconduct is not required to correct or retract unreliable work.
Correction. IJEEDU publishes a correction when an error or omission affects the accuracy, attribution, or interpretation of an article but its principal findings remain reliable. The correction notice identifies the original article and explains what has changed. Substantive changes are not made silently.
Expression of concern. IJEEDU may publish an expression of concern when credible questions about an article’s reliability require further investigation and readers should be informed while the matter remains unresolved. The notice will be updated or followed by an appropriate editorial decision when sufficient information becomes available.
Retraction. IJEEDU may retract an article when its findings are unreliable, whether because of an honest error or misconduct; when there is substantial plagiarism or redundant publication; when the research or publication process was seriously compromised; or when another serious ethical or legal problem makes the article unsuitable for the scholarly record. A retraction is intended to alert readers and correct the record, not necessarily to assign blame.
Correction, expression-of-concern, and retraction notices are published as identifiable, accessible records. Each notice states its reason clearly, identifies who is issuing it, and links to the affected article; the article page will link back to the notice and show its current status. Retracted articles normally remain accessible with a prominent retraction label. Complete removal is reserved for exceptional circumstances, such as a legal requirement or a serious privacy or safety risk; an explanatory notice will remain wherever possible. IJEEDU will update relevant DOI and indexing metadata where technically available.
